Menlo Park teen injured in e-bicycle crash

(KRON) — A teenager was riding an electric bicycle in a Menlo Park school zone when the e-bike crashed with a vehicle, according to police.

The 16-year-old bicyclist suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment, police said. The collision happened on Valparaiso Avenue and Crane Street in front of a high school at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

The teenager’s parents were notified. Officers are still investigating to determine who was at fault for the accident.

Menlo Park Police Department officials did not release any information about the driver who was involved in the crash.
