Francisco Correa convicted of sexual assault in Rockford
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Francisco Correa, 34, has been found guilty on six counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse at a jury trial in Rockford.

According to Winnebago County State’s Attorney J. Hanley, Rockford Police began investigating Correa in March of 2022, after a 10-year-old girl reported Correa had sexually abused her for several years.

The crime was reported to the Illinois Department of Family Services and police began an investigation that ultimately led to Correa’s arrest.

He faces up to 60 years in prison. His sentencing hearing is set for November 10th, 2025.
