According to SEPTA, the first incident happened on Wednesday around 11:30 p.m. on the Media/Wawa Line.
An inbound train hit a person who was on the tracks between the Morton and Secane stations. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second incident happened on Thursday morning around 7:45 a.m., according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
A Manayunk/Norristown Line train hit a pedestrian on the 3700 block of West School House Lane in East Falls. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition and died less than an hour later.
As of 10:30 a.m., service remains suspended on the Manayunk/Norristown Line as police continue to investigate.
