Yancey Jarrell, 24; Tremell Harris, 28; Roger Parker, 20; and Kendrick Profit, 23, pleaded not guilty to charges in March. All were indicted on charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, assault by drive-by shooting, and illegal use of weapons during a crime of violence. Profit was also charged with obstruction of justice.
Diellon Daniels, an 8-year-old boy, was killed in a Baton Rouge drive-by shooting on Swan Avenue in November 2024.
According to court records, two women connected to the shooting, Brianna Crump, 21, and Yarnell Crump, 42, withdrew guilty pleas and pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to first-degree murder over the summer. Both were ordered to serve three years of probation and community service.
The trial date is scheduled for Sept. 21, 2026. Pre-trial motions are set for Jan. 27, 2026.
