Ice Castles return to state fairgrounds
The Ice Castles are coming back to the Twin Cities again this winter, this time back they will the Minnesota State Fairgrounds for the second year in a row.
The Ice Castles were in New Brighton for many years, as well as in Maple Grove.
Construction is set to begin on the Ice Castles sometime in November, the press release says. It takes around 20 ice artists several weeks to grow, harvest, and place all the icicles to build the huge ice castles.

Tickets will go on sale starting on Dec. 2, and the Ice Castles are expected to open in late December and stay open until late February or early March, depending on the weather.
