FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash on Interstate 495 northbound on Wednesday morning, officials said.
Around 5:40 a.m., Virginia State Police responded to the ramp on I-495 northbound for reports of a crash. The ramp was heading eastbound toward Route 50.
The preliminary investigation indicates the motorcyclist lost control on the wet pavement and struck a guardrail.
The motorcyclist died and the crash remains under investigation.
