Celebrate National Public Lands Day at Historic Washington State Park
WASHINGTON, Arkansas (KTAL/KMSS) — On National Public Lands Day, September 27, staff and volunteers will clean, repair, and paint fences to improve Historic Washington State Park’s appearance and safety.

The work will be conducted in two sessions, from 9 a.m. to noon, and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Tools will be provided; gloves will not. Contact park interpreter Rachel Coble at (870) 983-2640 or by email at Rachel.coble@arkansas.gov to register.

Historic Washington State Park is a restoration village whose design aims to recreate the Arkansas town as it was in the 19th century. Daily tours are provided to sites and museums such as the B.W. Edwards Weapons Museum and Blacksmith Shop.
