DUI driver arrested in Fresno, over 3x legal limit, CHP says

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man with a blood alcohol content more than three times the legal limit was arrested in Fresno early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP says the 24-year-old driver was pulled over after they noticed him weaving near Shields and Cedar avenues.

After giving him a breathalyzer, they discovered he had a BAC of .269%. CHP says he was also unlicensed.

CHP says alcohol-involved crashes account for about one-third of all traffic deaths in California.
