Police searching for driver who hit a woman and fled the scene in Roy
ROY, Utah (ABC4) — Police are searching for a driver who hit a woman with their vehicle and fled the scene.
Sgt. Josh Taylor with the Roy Police Department told ABC4 that the vehicle went up a curb and struck a female in the front yard near 4800 South and 3100 East in Roy, Utah. This incident happened at approximately 9:42 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The vehicle is believed to be a dark charcoal 2019 to 2024 Toyota RAV 4. The vehicle will have damage to the front grill and headlight assembly.
The driver reportedly left the scene.
The woman struck is 51 years old. Sgt. Taylor said that she has no visible injuries, and she was taken to a nearby hospital.
The police are actively searching for a suspect and anyone with information is requested to contact the Weber Consolidated Dispatch at 801-395-8221.
