
Moderate heat risk, according to the NWS, carries a risk of heat-related illnesses to those sensitive to heat, including older adults, infants, athletes, outdoor workers, and those without effective cooling. The weather service advises drinking plenty of water, wearing lightweight, light-colored clothing, reducing time spent outdoors, and keeping windows open at night.
The Bay Area will be in for a bit of a weather rollercoaster this week with a dramatic cooldown — and even the possibility of rain — forecast for Wednesday.
“Be sure to find ways to beat the heat, stay hydrated, and be prepared for a cool down and some rain chance late tonight and tomorrow,” the NWS said.
