Detectives seize large amounts of cocaine, marijuana in Mooresville drug bust

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Detectives with the Mooresville Police Department seized large amounts of cocaine and marijuana during a search warrant at a residence on Alexander Street.

According to detectives, they seized 52.9 grams of cocaine, 6.5 grams of crack cocaine, and 140 grams of marijuana.

Bobby Nicholson was arrested and charged with the following offenses:

• Trafficking in Cocaine
• Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine (2 counts)
• Felony Possession of Cocaine (2 counts)
• Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana
• Felony Possession of Marijuana
• Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale of Narcotics
• Sale of Narcotics within 1,000 Feet of a School
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Nicholson was taken to the Iredell County Jail, where the magistrate held him under a $500,000 secure bond.
