New mural unveiled at Rankin Elementary
As part of the celebration, students performed “Fanga,” a traditional rhythm from Liberia, showing how the arts are integrated into everyday learning.
Created by Hand in Hand Creative artists Sarah and Andrew McWilson, the mural is a true community effort with support from the Ida Rankin Elementary PTA and the school’s student art club.
The colorful artwork can be seen on the retaining wall along West Central Avenue in Mount Holly.
