New mural unveiled at Rankin Elementary

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Rankin Elementary celebrated the unveiling of a new mural in collaboration with the City of Mount Holly.

As part of the celebration, students performed “Fanga,” a traditional rhythm from Liberia, showing how the arts are integrated into everyday learning.

Created by Hand in Hand Creative artists Sarah and Andrew McWilson, the mural is a true community effort with support from the Ida Rankin Elementary PTA and the school’s student art club.
