BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) – The Keep Louisiana Beautiful conference set for this week will discuss litter prevention, recycling, and beautification.

The two-day conference will bring together over 30 expert leaders to talk about ways to keep the state looking its best. Each year, this event unites state leaders and community champions to talk about tackling Louisiana’s litter problem and making public spaces shine.

This is a chance for local and state leaders to share all their knowledge of how communities can make sure Louisiana stays beautiful for lifetimes.

Event details:

  • When: 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23; 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24.
  • Where: Crowne Plaza Executive Center (4728 Constitution Ave., Baton Rouge).

Everyday Heroes for 2025 named

“The Everyday Hero Award winners are proving one person, one business, or one community can make a lasting difference,” said Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser. “Their leadership and determination are helping build a cleaner, greener Louisiana, and their example challenges all of us to take greater pride in the places we call home. Let’s all commit to follow their example and be Leaders Against Litter. Together we can leave Louisiana better than we found it.”

Baton Rouge area recipients include Infiniti of Baton Rouge and Livingston Parish President Randy Delatte.
