Pink Out: Win free groceries at SPAR Youth Fun Day, breast cancer awareness event
Shreveport Parks and Recreation (SPAR) will be hosting a community pink-out event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Participants will take part in a series of basketball games and activities for the chance to take home prizes, including the chance to win a $100 Brookshire’s gift card.
The event will take place on October 18, 2025, and is open to students from grades four through 12.
Check-in will begin at 10 a.m., with challenges and games running from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The department says the event is made possible with the support of sponsors including Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, Brookshire’s Grocery-Kings Hwy, and Raising Cane’s.
To register, be sure to sign up online.
Participants are encouraged to wear pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
