A man has been sentenced to over 28 years(338 months) in prison for his role in a fatal shooting in Austin, the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, which prosecuted the case, announced.
The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted the case at the request of the Mower County Attorney General.
Prosecutors say Cham Obang Oman was convicted of one count of aiding and abetting second-degree murder and two counts of aiding and abetting attempted second-degree murder in July.
Oman carried out the murder with Jenup Stepen Chop and Manamany Omot Abella. Prosecutors say he drove the vehicle, while Chop fired over 20 rounds, killing Gumdel Gilo and injuring two others.

Prior to the shooting, Oman bought an extended magazine for Chop.
Chop was sentenced to 37 years in prison for the murder.
Abella was sentenced to 10 years for aiding an offender.
