BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Louisiana State Police is investigating a shooting in New Roads on Friday evening.
According to officials, detectives were called to a shooting in the 1200 block of Hospital Road. The shooting involved an officer with the New Roads Police Department.
LSP confirmed that one person was hurt and taken to a local hospital. No officers were injured during the gunfire.
Investigators are continuously working the scene. No further details were immediately available.
