Kate Craft with the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) said in a press release that part of Topeka Boulevard will temporarily close for installation of a storm sewer pipe. The closure will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 on the northbound boulevard from First Street to Third Street.
Craft said northbound traffic will be unable to get onto westbound I-70 using the on-ramp during this closure. No detours will be posted for this project.
Drivers on southbound Topeka Boulevard will not be impacted by this project. Craft said traffic coming from north Topeka will be able to use the Topeka Boulevard Kansas River bridge to get onto the highway.
