
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide in New Orleans East Thursday morning, Sept. 18.
According to officers, around 5 a.m. they were alerted of a man being stabbed in the 9000 block of Chef Menteur Highway.
Responding officers arrived and declared him dead on the scene.
No further details are available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity after an autopsy is done and the family is notified.
