Michael Hilliard was taken into custody Monday around 1:30 p.m. and charged with second-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Jaheim Williams, who was fatally shot early Saturday in the 5400 block of Mansour Drive, police said. Hilliard was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.

The case remains under investigation, according to the Alexandria Police Department.
