Elderly woman in critical condition after crash in Carver County

An elderly Victoria woman was seriously hurt on Wednesday morning after being hit by a car while crossing the street.

According to the Carver County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses told law enforcement that around 9:30 a.m., an 85-year-old woman was crossing Victoria Drive when a car heading northbound hit her.

The 53-year-old driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement, Carver County officials said, adding that impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.

The woman was brought to Hennepin Healthcare in critical condition.
