Bay Area sees thunderstorm potential Thursday

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A much cooler day Thursday in the Bay Area with highs falling noticeably from the heat we’ve experienced thus far this week. Inland areas are expected to reach only the 80s at the very warmest.

Tropical moisture from what was once Tropical Storm Mario has drifted into Southern California this morning and will continue to push northward, bringing thunderstorms and the potential of dry lightning to the region which will up fire danger in the days ahead.

Sunrise in San Francisco is at 6:54 a.m. Sunset is at 7:12 p.m.
