Garland’s Día de los Muertos celebration seeks artisans and artists

GARLAND (KDAF) — The City of Garland is inviting local artisans to be part of its vibrant Día de los Muertos Celebration, taking place on Nov. 1, from 2 to 8 p.m. This expanded cultural event will be held at the Granville Arts Center  and throughout Downtown Garland.

Artisans will have the opportunity to showcase and sell their goods to a diverse and enthusiastic crowd. The celebration will feature live music, entertainment, food trucks, and a dedicated children’s area. Vendor applications are now open. The deadline to apply is Oct. 10, so interested artisans are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible to secure a spot.

Artists may participate in Garland Cultural Arts Dia de los Muertos juried art exhibit. All submitted entries must represent the unique style and imagery of Dia de los Muertos, emanating the excitement and spirit of Hispanic traditions. This show featuring 2D art will be displayed at the Granville Arts Center during the Dia de los Muertos event. The deadline to submit work is Oct. 7.
