Celebrate Día de los Muertos at Michelson Museum of Art
Dia de los Muertos has been celebrated in Mexico in different forms for over 3,000 years.
While some traditions vary based on regional and cultural norms, the celebration is always meant to celebrate life and honor the dead through decorations, traditions, and food.
The Dia de los Muertos celebration at the Michelson has been a tradition for eight years. This year’s festivities will include art, music, catrinas, traditional bread, and candy.
The Michelson is also hosting a special exhibit of Mexican masks and Ofrendas (Altars) from October 7 to November 1.
The Michelson is once again partnering with CASA of Harrison County‘s Trunk-or-Treat.
