District Attorney Scott Perrilloux said Daniel K. Johnson pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual battery involving victims under the age of 13.

The case started when a child came forward to report abuse. Investigators with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office later identified three victims. Deputies confirmed their reports and learned Johnson asked his wife to remove SIM cards from cell phones while he was being questioned, Perrilloux said.

Perrilloux credited LPSO detectives for their “thorough and complete investigation.” He also thanked the Child Advocacy Center in Denham Springs for supporting the victims throughout the case.

Perrilloux said the victims’ families backed Johnson’s plea deal. This agreement ensured a conviction and spared the children from the stress of testifying in court.
