California urges vaccinations for COVID-19, RSV, and flu amid health concerns
State public health officials informed Californians that immunizations are effective, safe and the best protection available against viruses, CDPH said.
Earlier this week, Governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 144 into law. Officials said that the bill ensures that CDPH’s immunization suggestions are based on evidence-based scientific recommendations from trusted national medical organizations.
“We want the people who live and work in our states to know that there is a strong public health, health care and scientific community that will continue to stand together to provide and use the data and evidence needed for them to make healthy choices, and we are here to protect our communities,” CDPH Director and State Publice Health Officer, Dr. Erica Pan, said.
