Officials said a deputy with the SMPSO was contacted by an individual who reported a possible crime involving Ngo. The information was referred to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, where the alleged offenses occurred.
According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, Sept. 11, an Ascension Parish resident reported that Ngo, her former boyfriend, had accessed her home surveillance cameras and watched her inside her residence. Officials learned that Ngo had helped install the cameras while the two were dating.
A search warrant was obtained for several of Ngo’s devices, which revealed that he had accessed the cameras regularly for at least the last four months.
Authorities executed an arrest warrant, and Ngo was booked into a St. Mary Parish jail on charges of stalking and video voyeurism and was transferred to an Ascension Parish Jail. At the time of his arrest, Ngo’s employment with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office was terminated.
