Peete wanted to let the public know to plan for about a 45-minute delay in their travel plans when there is a home game at Kansas State University. Peete said the next game will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 27.
Peete said the RCPD partnered with The Manhattan Kennel Club for responsible Dog Ownership Day from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20. There will be an event held at the Manhattan City Park where the RCPD will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chips and drinks. Peete also said there will be a demonstration from the RCPD K9 Kyra.
Peete previewed the RCPD National Night Out that will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the Ogden Community Center. Participants will be able to ‘Touch a Truck’ and engage with local law enforcement.
“I do my best to come out here and speak with you and other folks just to again make that humanization,” Peete said. “I think its, especially in today’s world right now with all the things that we’re dealing with, its important to remember each of us. We’re all human.”
Peete also talked about safety in Aggieville and a recent town hall where the RCPD engaged in discussions about safety initiatives. You can watch the full interview above.
