Operation Roof Rescue: Local company looking to provide roofs for veterans, teachers, first responders and more
IDAHO FALLS — Roof Rescue is expanding its community-focused initiative, Operation Roof Rescue, to honor the men and women who make a difference in their communities.
The program began in 2014 when owner Mark Franklin and Roof Rescue donated its first roof to a women’s shelter operated by St. John’s Lutheran Church. It has grown into a longstanding tradition of giving back.
Over the years, the company has provided dozens of free roofs to families and individuals facing financial hardship.
As part of the initiative, Roof Rescue will donate one free roof for every 100 full roof replacements completed in each of the five communities it serves. The program focuses on recognizing everyday heroes, including military personnel (active duty and veterans), first responders, teachers, and community members who have made a significant impact through volunteerism, charity work, or neighborhood leadership.
Roof Rescue has a strong history of supporting veterans, including a multi-year partnership with Keller Williams’ Red Day initiative, during which the company installed materials and replaced veterans’ roofs at no cost. In addition to roof donations, Roof Rescue has contributed labor, materials, and financial support to schools, nonprofits, and community projects across the region.
Nominations for Operation Roof Rescue are now open. Community members are encouraged to nominate deserving candidates who make their neighborhoods safer, stronger, and better.
1. Nominate a Hero
Submit a nomination for someone you believe is deserving of a new roof at no cost to them and are not financially able to be able to replace wone themselves. Nominations can be submitted online at our website or by calling our office.
2. Selection Process
Roof Rescue will review all nominations and select the recipient based on their personal story, impact on their community, the need for a new roof, and financial circumstances. Be sure to include all the details to help us choose the most deserving recipients! Winners will be announced on our website and social media.
3. Our Communities
We’ve divided our service areas into five regions for this initiative:
4. For Every 100 Roofs
Every time Roof Rescue completes 100 full roof replacements in one of these areas, we’ll select one nominated individual from that community to receive a roof replacement at no cost to them.
5. Giving Back
The recipient will receive a new roof installed by our professional team at no cost to them. This is our way of expressing gratitude to those who make a difference in the lives of others.
