City of Shreveport Issues Voluntary Boil Advisory for businesses and residents
While water service remains uninterrupted, the Department recommends that all customers in the impacted area boil their water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
This advisory affects all residents and businesses situated south of LA-3132, between I-49 and Dean Road.
Residents are advised to boil water for at least one full minute before using it for drinking, food preparation, ice making, brushing teeth, or washing fruits and vegetables.
The department says water samples will be taken and sent to the Louisiana Department of Health for testing, with results expected by tomorrow, September 17, 2025.
For further information, residents are encouraged to contact the Department at (318) 673-7600 or visit shreveportlawater.gov.
