POMEROY, Ohio (WOWK) — A person was flown to the hospital after a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle in Salisbury Township Saturday morning.

The Pomeroy Fire Department and Firemen’s Association said on Facebook that the crash took place on State Route 143 near Wolf Pen Road around 9:34 a.m.

The motorcyclist was taken to the EMS MedFlight base for helicopter transport while the vehicle driver was transported by EMS to be checked out.

Pomeroy Fire personnel assisted with traffic control and debris pickup. Crews were on-site approximately two hours.

Responders included Pomeroy Pumper 1, Meigs County EMS, the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Five Time Towing and Get Hooked Towing.
