In the tropics, we’re keeping a watch on a potential area of low pressure along the Southeast coast that could try and turn tropical before moving inland in North Carolina over the next day. Regardless of any development, it will bring squally weather to the Outer Banks. We’re also keeping a watch on a tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic that is looking much healthier today. It has a decent shot at becoming our next named system, but there’s plenty of time to monitor it before it would ever effect land. There are no tropical threats for Acadiana anytime soon.
Our local forecast remains hot and humid. Daily temperatures reach into the mid 90s through next weekend with sunshine and cloud cover mixing. A stray shower or two will be possible each afternoon, but rain chances remain extremely low for the area.
