MARSHALL, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — The Michelson Museum of Art is hosting the internationally praised ‘Birds in Art’ exhibition with an opening reception on September 11 from 4:30 to 6:30.

The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum of Wausau, Wisconsin, organized the exhibition. ‘Birds in Art’ has been recognized as the premier avian wildlife art show since 1976.

Artists from 14 countries submitted over 880 entries for consideration for the exhibit. Sixty were chosen for the tour. The works are in a multitude of media, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, wood, and bronze.
