Auburn climbs in AP Top 25 college football poll

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Auburn is ranked No. 22 in Sunday’s AP Top 25 college football poll.

The Tigers are in the top 25 for the second straight week after entering in at No. 24 last week. They downed South Alabama, 31-15, at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday. Auburn started the season with a 38-24 road victory against Baylor and followed up with a 42-3 win over Ball State.

Auburn will face its biggest test of the season when it meets No. 11 Oklahoma at Memorial Stadium on Saturday. The Sooners are 3-0 after knocking Illinois State, Michigan and Temple. The Wolverines are No. 21 in Sunday’s poll.
