Auburn enters AP Top 25 college football poll

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Auburn entered the AP Top 25 college football poll Sunday.

The 2-0 Tigers are ranked No. 24 in the Week 3 AP poll. It is the first time they are in the top 25 during the Hugh Freeze era. The last time they appeared in the poll was in November 2021.

Auburn looked strong in its first two games of the campaign. In its first contest, it defeated Baylor, 38-24, in Waco, Texas. The Tigers the hosted Ball State and recorded a 42-3 victory Saturday.

Auburn will return to Jordan-Hare Stadium in Week 3 to meet South Alabama. The Jaguars downed Morgan State in Week 1 before falling to Tulane last week.
