Multi-vehicle crash in Fairfax caused delays

FAIRFAX, Va. (DC News Now) — Two lanes were closed on Eastbound Main Street after a multi-vehicle crash on Friday morning, police said.

Details are limited; however, Fairfax City Police said that the lanes needed to be blocked at the Fern Street intersection.

Emergency crews arrived to find one person trapped inside one of the vehicles. After crews helped remove the patient, they were able to receive medical care.

Officers responded to the scene and helped direct traffic. In an update posted to X at 9:06 a.m., police said the roadway is open.

Details on any injuries have not been released.
