1 dead, 3 hurt after four-vehicle crash in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DCNews Now) — The Virginia State Police (VSP) is investigating a fatal four-car collision that happened on I-495 on Monday afternoon.

VSP said the crash happened minutes after 3 p.m. and involved a Toyota Tacoma, a Scion XB, a Honda Civic and a Ford F150. A person in the Sicon XB died, while a passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Two others were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of 4:30 p.m., all express lanes and most mainline lanes were closed.
