Large grassfire reported near Cisco

CISCO, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A large grassfire has been reported southwest of Cisco at the intersection of County Road 132 and County Road 145 on Saturday afternoon.

Around 2:30 p.m. on September 13, the Cisco Police Department reported in a Facebook post that the fire was moving northwest from the area. Residents in its path are advised to be prepared to evacuate if necessary.

It was reported that multiple departments are on the scene, and it is advised ot not to drive into the fire. Authorities urge the public not to drive toward the fire, as onlookers can interfere with emergency response efforts.

KTAB/KRBC reached out to the Cisco Police Department, which confirmed the alert was distributed through their ‘911 app.’
