Drive-by shooting on South Side leaves 23-year-old man dead

CHICAGO (WGN) – A man shot and killed Friday morning on the city’s South Side.

Chicago police said the shooting happened just after 10:30 a.m. in the 800 block of East 91st Street near the Burnside neighborhood.

A 23-year-old man was walking near the sidewalk when an unknown vehicle drove up. An unknown suspect inside the vehicle then pulled out a gun and fired shots at the man, hitting him multiple times, according to investigators.

Police said the man was taken to University of Chicago Hospital where he died.

No arrests have been made and Area Two Detectives are investigating.

No other information was released.
