THIBODAUX, La. (WGNO) — A Thibodaux man is facing alleged child sex crime charges after being arrested.
On Wednesday, Sept. 10, agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation reported receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the actions of 22-year-old Russell Antoine Varmall Jr.
Varmall was arrested while on the campus of Nicholls State University and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex on two counts of possession child sex material with victims under 13.
The arrest was made with the help of Nicholls State University Police.
His bond is currently set at $70,000. The investigation remains ongoing.
