The morning will begin with a meet-and-greet at 8:30 a.m. before the state leaders’ remarks. Later, from 11 a.m. to noon, members of the Armory Project will present in the same location.

According to a news release, The Armory Project will provide education and resources to help veterans prevent firearm suicide by arranging safe, voluntary, out-of-home firearm storage with trusted firearms dealers in local communities.

Officials said in the news release that the events are part of a broader effort to highlight suicide prevention initiatives and ensure veterans and their families know how to access support and resources.
