FNF Week 2: Holy Cross blanks De La Salle 20-0

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Holy Cross and De La Salle began week two of the 2025 high school football season with a Thursday night showdown at Tad Gormley Stadium.

The Tigers had a 27-26 win over E.D. White in week one, but the Cavaliers were still seeking their first victory of the year, following a 20-13 loss against Central High of Baton Rouge last week.

However, Holy Cross’s defense stood firm all night. The Tigers intercepted the Cavs twice, including an 84-yard pick-six in the second quarter, and Holy Cross advanced to 2-0 on the season with a 20-0 victory.

The Tigers will face Chalmette next week, while the Cavaliers travel to the north shore and battle St. Paul’s School.
