Amarillo ISD earns distinctions from 2 financial reporting, transparency programs

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Amarillo Independent School District has earned distinctions from two financial reporting and transparency programs.

According to officials, the Association of School Business Officials International has awarded AISD the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting. The certificate recognizes school districts that uphold high standards of financial reporting and transparency.

Officials stated that districts that earn this certificate have demonstrated a commitment to clear and accurate financial reporting. The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts’ Transparency Stars program also recognized AISD for their transparency efforts, which include providing clear and meaningful financial information by posting financial documents, as well as thorough summaries, visualizations, downloadable data, and other relevant information.
