District leaders expect seven campuses to improve by at least one letter grade, while 11 campuses are projected to see higher numerical scores. AISD predicts it will have at least one “A” campus and four “B” campuses this year, up from one “A” and one “B” campus last year.
According to these same predictions, five campuses are on the line of a ‘B’ rating, sitting at a grade of 78 or 79, which could change when the real numbers are released later this week. Campuses are graded A through F, similar to student grades.
AISD students also showed growth in STAAR results, outperforming the state in seven subject areas, compared to just three the previous school year. The district also narrowed the gap with the state in 37 out of 60 categories.
Three of the district’s four high schools are expected to see an increase in their College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) scores. The fourth maintained a score of 90.
AISD’s North Star Goal is to have 75% of students enrolled in A- or B-rated schools by the end of the 2028-2029 school year. The target for this year was 20%, but the district has already exceeded that with 28%.
Official ratings set to be made public on August 15, 2025.
