Threatening note found on campus, school dismissed
The district announced online that school would be cancelled on September 9, 2025, to allow police time to investigate a handwritten threat that was found regarding school tomorrow.
Superintendent Tally Butcher shares, “This afternoon, a potentially threatening handwritten note for tomorrow was found on campus. Members of law enforcement have been notified and need more time to determine the credibility of this threat.”
The district encourages parents to speak with students about the severity of making threats and address any concerns and fears their student may have about school threats.
Anyone with information about the threat is asked to contact the Haskell County Sheriff’s Office at 918-967-2400.
