Vernon Parish arrests: Burglary, drugs, and battery charges
LEESVILLE, La. (WNTZ) – The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office announced several arrests over the past week, with charges ranging from burglary to drug possession to aggravated battery.

On Sept. 2, deputies arrested Rusty Nolen, 38, of Pitkin, on charges of criminal trespass, simple burglary and theft of a firearm. His bond was set at $86,295, and he remains in the parish jail.

On Sept. 3, deputies arrested two men: William Eli Jordan, 49, of Anacoco, on charges of misuse of a temporary tag, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, no proof of insurance and possession of a Schedule II narcotic. His bond was set at $5,949, which he posted before being released. Joshua Eugene Brown, 39, of Leesville, was arrested the same day on charges of improper equipment required on vehicles and possession of a Schedule II narcotic. Bond has not been set, and Brown remains in jail.

On Sept. 5, deputies arrested Edith Fontenot, 66, of Longville, on charges of no seat belt and possession of a Schedule II narcotic. Her bond was set at $3,600, and she remains in jail. Roy Johnson, 68, of Rosepine, was arrested the same day and charged with aggravated battery. His bond was set at $10,000, and he also remains in custody.

On Sept. 6, deputies arrested Jedidiah Eric Dailey, 40, of Anacoco, on one count of domestic abuse battery with strangulation. Bond has not been set, and Dailey remains in the parish jail.
