Scam Alert: Police warn of new door-to-door targeting neighborhoods, following recent parking ticket scam

According to authorities, several residents in the Dixie Gardens area fell victim to a scam where a man goes door to door offering home repairs, takes the money for supplies, and never returns.

He has reportedly scammed multiple individuals in the Dixie Gardens area, taking more than $2,900 from them.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and cautious when approached by individuals requesting payment for services.

This comes after recent reports of fraudulent parking tickets being placed on cars in residential areas in the Shreveport area.
