Philadelphia SDA Church to host community service

SHREVEPORT, La (KTAL/KMSS) – The Philadelphia SDA Church is inviting the community to a weekend of service, celebration, and giving.

On Saturday, September 6, the church will host its Community Service Day: “Dare to Care” at 11 a.m. The program will feature guest speaker Pastor Darriel Hoy, musical performances from Zachary Burton and the Woodlawn High School Choir, and special community service awards presented to Midway Elementary Principal Lashonda Diouf and Caddo Parish Schools’ Dr. Marvin Rainey.

The following day, Sunday, September 7, the church’s Community Service Clothing Giveaway will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3401 Greenwood Road. Free clothing for all ages will be available, along with nachos and a bounce house for families to enjoy.
