The parade, which in previous years has kicked off the fair on Wednesday, will now take place Saturday morning. KTLO News spoke with fair boardmember, Brad Goeke who explains the reason for the change.

Marching bands will line up by 1st Security Bank on Highway 5 North and Hospital Drive. Organizers advise parents dropping off children to meet their groups in advance at Highway 178 and Buttercup Road near Cardiovascular Associates.
Throwing candy is allowed, though organizers ask participants to use discretion to ensure safety.
