It happened around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 6, nearly 10 miles south of London, near Tom Town Hollow Road, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO). The London-Laurel County 911 Communication Center dispatched deputies in response to “a prowler complaint there.”
While searching, deputies found Joseph Money, 66, who was allegedly wanted by the US Marshal Service on federal escape charges.
Law enforcement officials said Money was “reported to be armed and dangerous.”
He was arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Correction Center without bond as a fugitive from another state. Authorities said his full extradition has been authorized.
Corbin police reportedly helped LCSO deputies at the scene. The fugitive investigation remains ongoing.
