Drier days ahead as lower humidity settles into Acadiana
The tropics are looking much quieter as the one tropical wave we’ve been following has all but disappeared thanks to plentiful dry air. Development chances have decreased down to a low chance, but more than likely, this wave will fade away and not do much. Beyond that, the tropics look to remain quiet over the next week.
Locally, we will see pleasant mornings in the 60s for the beginning of the week with afternoons seeing sunshine and highs right about 90 each afternoon through midweek. Towards the end of the week, a weak area of low pressure will surge moisture back towards the area, especially coastal areas. Humidity will rise and a few showers will be possible. Otherwise, temperatures will be toasty in the lower 90s.
